Partner with us to put on Creative Health Events for your communities
Posted Thursday 30 January 2025

The Croydon Council Creative Health team is looking to collaborate with organisations to develop creative and cultural events (250+ attendees) that spread awareness of important health issues in engaging and accessible ways.
We want to harness the power of music, theatre, dance, film, and visual arts to attract communities at risk of health inequalities while sharing vital health information. For example:
- A festival-style event featuring live performances, spoken word, and interactive installations that highlight a key health topic such as diabetes prevention.
- A high-profile film screening followed by a panel discussion with healthcare professionals and community voices to explore issues such as maternal health.
- A live music event designed to engage a specific community such as Black men aged 30-40 in conversations about a condition that disproportionately affects them, such as prostate cancer.
We are particularly interested in events that help reach communities experiencing health inequalities, including:
- People facing socio-economic challenges (low income, unemployment, poverty)
- People from global majority backgrounds
- LGBTQIA+ or non-binary individuals
- People with disabilities, sensory impairments, or neurodivergence
- Non-English speakers
- Care-experienced individuals
- People experiencing homelessness
- Asylum seekers, refugees, or migrants
If you have an idea for a creative health event and want to explore how we can support you; including funding, project management, or connections to healthcare providers, please reach out to the Creative Health team via Creative Health Events
