London Borough of Culture Legacy Fund: Grants Available
Posted Wednesday 7 August 2024
Are you a Croydon-based creative or cultural practitioner who was involved in This is Croydon, London Borough of Culture? To build on the success of the year and to continue to support our local cultural sector, Croydon Council’s new Legacy Fund will offer grants of up to to £2,000.
Applications are now open. You can apply anytime between now and Sunday 1 September 2024.
The London Borough of Culture Legacy Fund is a new microgrant scheme, designed to help individual Croydon-based creatives and cultural practitioners who were involved in the This is Croydon programme to further develop their creative and/or heritage practice. This is part of Croydon Council’s ongoing support for the development of the borough’s cultural sector, as part of the legacy of the Mayor of London’s London Borough of Culture 2023.
Applicants can apply for up to £2,000 toward their development. This may include developing an existing or new piece of work; experimenting with new collaborations or partnerships; training and Research & Development opportunities; as well as attending conferences or events.
To be eligible, you must be a self-employed creative/practitioner who lives in Croydon. You must have had some involvement in Croydon’s London Borough of Culture programme and be aged 18+.
If you have access requirements and need support managing your grant finances, you may apply through a sponsor organisation. This should be relevant to your practice or the organisation that led the initial London Borough of Culture programme that you were associated with.
