CR Talent
From Disney songs medleys to rap with a live orchestral, CR Talent will have something for everyone to enjoy!
On 13th July, young performers will be taking over Wandle Park for CR Talent, a free festival celebrating Croydon’s culture, diversity and talent. There will be electrifying performances of live music and dancing; plenty of delicious food and drink.
From Disney songs medleys to rap with a live orchestral, CR Talent will have something for everyone to enjoy!
Schools Festival: 12:30pm to 2:15pm
Experience the performances from 1,000 performers from Croydon Music and Arts and local primary schools.
Expect crowd participation and fun for the whole family!
Performances include:
- A Disney songs medley with choirs and a full orchestra
- Songs from South Asia with Anusha Subramanyam from Beeja (Dance company)
- Songs from Jamaica and Nigeria with Marlon Hibbert from Kinetika Bloco (South London performance group)
- Sufi Stomp from South Asian Suite by Arun Ghosh (musician, composer and performer)
Youth Arts Festival: 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Young people performing original music as well as arrangements of popular songs including:
- Stevie Wonder, Blur, The Beatles and Starship.
- Croydon-connected musician: Stormzy, The Kooks and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor
Guests alongside young performers will be:
- Still Shadey (MOBO award winning, Croydon-based rapper)
- John Kelly (Singer and disability rights campaigner)
