Croydon Loves You is Back! Grants available.
Posted Monday 10 June 2024
Building on its success during This Is Croydon, London Borough of Culture, our health and wellbeing small grant programme is back – this time with grants available up to £4,999!
Applications for Croydon Loves You are now closed.
Croydon Loves You grants are available for summer creative projects that support people’s wellbeing and address health inequalities in the borough of Croydon. Health inequalities are avoidable, unfair and systematic differences in health between different groups of people.
Croydon Loves You started in January 2024 as part of This Is Croydon to encourage and enable creative wellbeing focused events and projects. Twelve projects were funded between February and March 2024, which included Zine making for neurodiverse young people, community gardening and music sessions for refugee communities.
This second stage of the programme will celebrate all the good things our borough is home to. As well as a strong cultural or creative element, your project needs to deliver against (at least some of) the five ways to wellbeing. We are looking for projects that reach people on lower incomes, Global Majority communities, socially excluded groups and those with protected characteristics. We are also interested in projects that support children and young people to obtain the best start in life, or that help older people to age well. We can only fund projects that take place in Croydon.
In this round, grants of between £250 and £4,999 are available. In total we will be grant funding up to £85,000. Successful projects will help to build a strong legacy of Creative Wellbeing in the borough delivered across arts, heritage, libraries and leisure.

Many of our winter grant recipients were first-time bid writers and have fed back that the information was helpful. We also have a freelance producer who can meet you (in person or online) if you would like further support – see the guidelines for more details.
